14.Analysis of Erin's Style

Erin Wasson's style is mostly made up of denim jean in a medium blue wash with lots of white oversize singlets. She is always in blue, white, or black, or any of the three above all at once. She usually accessorizes with lots of silver bangles and necklaces. There arent any texture or print in these basics.

Her clothes sometimes have a DIY element to them, like the really short shorts with a raw edge, revealing the inner pockets, and shredded tee.

Occasionally Erin wears some body hugging dresses to event parties. This dress she wore is made of lace but it is contemporary as it's not a typical lace with flowery silhouettes in it.

Erin wore this Balmain dress with a embellishment forming a bat. It looks like beading with cutouts. The dresses she picks seem to reveal her legs most of the time as with most of the other imges I've found. But these two pictures show most of her back. The Balmain piece is particularly special since she looks quite covered bu the second image is quite a shocker. I think because Erin is not particularly well-endowed (she doesn't own any bras either), she picks clothing which reveal another body part which might be sexy or sensual in a different way.

Erin wears singlets practically every other day. She puts them together with statement jackets with nautical elements, shearling fur coats, leopard vests, double-breasted jacket with fur trim.

On the whole, her shorts are really short, otherwise she would be in pants. She does not wear a bra but sometimes wears low scoop singlets, half-way unbuttoned shirts, The dresses and tops she wear might reveal her chest thru the transparency of the fabric or when the low cut top moves out of place.
There are gothic, folk, animal, california-cool, half-cheap half-luxe elements in her style.
Now, I'm going to design for her I wish she knew because I am really excited about having chosen her and I've been thinking about this project and its possibilities a lot since.
